In June 12th, Lin Jinxiang, general manager of Huayu Shoes Co., Ltd. rushed to Fuzhou early, and continued to track the progress of the FJ218 waterborne polyurethane amplification experiment in Fujian Institute of material structure of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. He signed the contract for the project at the "6. 18" project outcome fair this year.

For a long time, the traditional shoe-making enterprises have a certain degree of benzene pollution. In recent years, many enterprises began to try to use PU glue for waterborne shoes in order to make the products enter the international market, but the product is now mainly dependent on imports, and the price is high.

In order to change this situation, Huayu shoes company has taken the initiative to search for environmentally friendly adhesives from the source.

At the beginning of this year, under the matchmaking of the Chengxiang development and Reform Commission, the company and the Fujian Institute of material structure successfully realized the docking of FJ218 waterborne polyurethane and its series products.

At present, the company is making preparations for the first phase of the production line, and is expected to be put into trial operation in August.

The high-tech environmental protection project will be invested by 18 million yuan. After the commissioning, the environmentally friendly and high-performance waterborne polyurethane adhesive will be developed to avoid the disadvantages of the traditional water-based adhesive. It can replace the original benzene containing glue. Compared with the imported PU shoes, it can greatly reduce the cost, eliminate benzene pollution, and improve the working conditions of the employees, so as to provide a more comfortable working environment for shoemaking workers.
