Japan's big clothing store Island Village will enter China
Japan's economic news reported that shimun will set up its first shop in mainland China in April of this year, with an area of about 1 thousand square meters, and the clothing category and price are the same as those in Shanghai.
At the same time, logistics centers will also be established in Shanghai to improve pport efficiency by selecting fast pportation routes and increasing pport rates.
Its plan will increase to 10 stores in mainland China in the next 2 years.
Unlike the "manufacturing retail industry" such as UNIQLO, islet itself does not produce goods, but it is famous for its efficient logistics in Japan, and thus reduces its cost and achieves the goal of low price sales.
In 1997, the island village set up its first overseas store in Taiwan. Through efforts to accumulate experience, there are now 35 shops in Taiwan.
Mainland China is the second market for its entry into the world.
Besides the island village, other Japanese clothing retailers also expand their investment in China.
UNIQLO plans to increase the number of Chinese shops from 110 to 1000 by 2020. The Castle Peak commercial plan will increase its stores to 100 by 2017. HONEYS plans to open 180 new stores in China in May this year.
