Taobao announced the latest management rules on the sale of counterfeit goods. According to the rules, bad businesses will be severely punished for selling counterfeit and pirated goods, and depending on the seriousness of the case, for example, businesses with particularly bad behavior of selling counterfeit goods will be subject to 48 points deduction at one time, and the most severe punishment will be to close the stores directly.
It is reported that this rule was officially implemented on August 22.
Escalation of punishment under the strictest rules
Compared with the past, the revised punishment rules have significantly extended the time limit of punishment for sellers selling counterfeit and pirated goods. According to different situations, the original 7 days are extended to 14 days; And from 14 days to 21 days; In addition, the illegal handling measures of "restricted delivery" have been added.
"Setting a power limitation period is also an opportunity for businesses to self check and self rectify, hoping that businesses can re-examine their violations and make corresponding adjustments to stop selling counterfeit goods," said the relevant person in charge of Taobao.
During the right limitation period, the seller's store will be blocked, restricted from releasing goods, deleted, restricted from community functions and publicized warnings.
It is understood that Taobao has always used the point deduction system for illegal acts to manage businesses. The points deducted are superimposed and punished accordingly. If 48 points are deducted, the store will be closed.
In the new regulation, businesses that have repeatedly sold counterfeit goods will be subject to an upgraded and aggravated punishment. If such businesses violate the regulation again, they will face a penalty of 24 points deduction. After twice, they will directly close their stores. For shops that repeatedly use multiple accounts to sell fake goods maliciously, 48 points will be deducted at one time depending on the seriousness of the case, and the shops will be closed directly.
In fact, since the beginning of this year, Alibaba Group has carried out a long-term special action to crack down on fake and malicious online transactions. On April 23, we joined hands with five ministries and commissions of the state to launch a joint action to combat counterfeiting and protect intellectual property rights.

According to the data, as of June 2013, intellectual property proactive prevention and control has punished 420000 sellers of various types of counterfeits. Jointly with the public security organs, seven intellectual property cases were solved, involving more than 100 million yuan.

In June of this year, the brand of joint in-depth cooperation in the special campaign against counterfeiting, first from women shoes , sneakers and bags, of which nike and adidas are the key sports brands to be targeted, and there are 21 controlled brands in total. A total of 60000 sellers have been punished for one month's special handling of fake sellers.
At the same time, Taobao combines "fighting" with "dredging" in the process of fighting against counterfeits. In the first half of 2013, Taobao devoted huge resources to supporting sellers to carry out transformation, advocating users to carry out self rectification, and providing sellers with a transformation plan of honest operation, namely, the supply and marketing platform.
This platform is a green transformation channel established by Taobao for users who are punished for selling fake goods. It uses large suppliers introduced by the supply and marketing platform to provide supplies for such sellers, and encourages them to continue operating on Taobao, so as to retain their ability to operate and serve. Statistics show that 27% of the sellers have chosen transformation operation.
